What We Teach and Believe

We believe God can make the impossible possible! We love the Lord and believe God gives us divine appointments daily to share God’s love and grace.

“For I know the plans I have for you... plans to give you hope and a future... You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:11-13, NIV).

What we believe and teach can be described as orthodox, evangelical and Pentecostal.

By orthodox, we mean that we follow the fundamental creeds of classical Christianity.

inspired word of God

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God: true, infallible, authoritative, and revealing God’s character, love of humankind, and plan of salvation.

DIVINE trinity

We believe in one God, existing in three divine persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit.

Human Creation

We believe that humans were made by God to be in communion with Him, but through human sin that communion was broken. Therefore, we believe that God, just in His condemnation of humankind, lovingly intervened to bring us back into right relationship with Him.

JESUS

We believe God sent His Son Jesus, who being fully God and fully man was born of a virgin birth, lived a sinless life, and offers salvation to all humans through His substitutionary death on the cross and bodily resurrection, defeating sin, death, Satan, and the grave.

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe Jesus ascended to the right hand of God, sending the Holy Spirit to all believers in Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit abides in every believer and empowers each one to be a conservator of faith, to live a life set apart unto God, and to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to all the world.

ETERNAL KINGDOM

We believe that Christ will return as King to judge humankind and to establish His eternal kingdom.

Evangelical and PENTECOSTAL Beliefs

As evangelicals, we affirm the role of believers to participate in their world through the help of the Holy Spirit as the salt of the earth, bringing the Good News of eternal life in Jesus Christ to the lost and afflicted.

We value our Pentecostal heritage as a contemporary outpouring of the Holy Spirit not unlike the dramatic episodes found in the book of Acts. Christ sent the Holy Spirit so that His followers could continue in His ministry with no lapse in power or effectiveness. The truth of the Gospel message was to be verified by “signs and wonders,” Holy Spirit-given gifts such as healing, prophecy, and speaking in unknown tongues.
